New West from Shaw Living, a 28-piece collection spanning the iconography of Native peoples throughout the Americas, is a modern rendering of the designs that have become associated with the West. Taking inspiration from Northwest coast Indian baskets, Navajo textiles, Mexican serapes and Peruvian weavings from the collections of the Museum of New Mexico, Shaw has reinterpreted ancient design motifs to create a collection as dynamic and diverse as the region. Rugs in the New West series are made of lustrous olefin yarn which enhances the dimensional qualities of the designs. The buttery-soft feel and dense construction features a sculpted appearance that is both visually and tactilely appealing.
